London, our favourite city

Well, London is and will always be our favourite city, that’s for sure.

We were there with my then soon-to-be fiancé 10 years ago, that is the place where I proposed her — we even know behind which tree it happened in the park behind the Palace of Westminster, the Victoria Tower Gardens South. Anyway, nothing really interesting here, a little sentiment here or there.

The point is, we were supposed to visit the city often after that event back in 2008 and we really wanted to. But the years have just been going and going – without us travelling to anywhere. Well, at least together, because I have been to London a couple of times because of work, as well as to other places like Paris, Brussels, Prague for example. And we had an arrangement that I will take Dóri (and the family) to every city or place that I visit somehow so now we have a lot to travel.

So, the thing is, the time has finally come, everything clicked – and we booked a trip the London at the end of last year.

Aiming for the hat-trick – third one coming

So, this is something I’ve been meaning to tell you since I got the news – but from obvious reasons I could not.

We are expecting a new baby, this is gonna be our third one – and as now Dori is more than three months into pregnancy, it can be told to the world. And I want to tell it, really. It is a half-planned half-not-planned baby, we wanted to have a third one but it seemed that it is gonna be hard – the second one took a lot of months of trying, if you understand me… 🙂

But I had an operation in August, varicocele if you know the thing – and after it was solved we were on the fast track lane towards the third one. You know, it is like getting a varicose vein in your leg, but it is in a much more delicate part of a man’s body. Continue reading

Finally, in the city again

So, we are back in the city of Budapest, again.

The last time we lived in Budapest was something like nine years ago, a little bit more, because we moved to Szigetszentmiklós before Xmas in 2008 – right before Luca was born at the beginning of 2009. So, two daughters and a couple of years after we are back.

By now we spent two full weeks here in the rented flat – and we enjoy it.

This is very much different from our life in Szigetszentmiklós. It is like living in a big city somewhere, my wife said the first  days was like living in New York. I wake up at 6:30 in the morning as opposed to 5:30 or so, the girls between 6:30 and 6:45, around 7:15 we begin our walk towards the school/kindergarten (those are right next to each other). After leaving them in the building where they should be for the day I walk to the tram stop to catch the line 17 and in about half an hour I am at the office. Continue reading
